How do I Dedicate my Baby?
At Downtown Vineyard Church we support parents in raising their children up to know Jesus. "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it" Proverbs 22:6
When parents decide to dedicate their child, they are making a public commitment to God before their church family and friends.
Dedication vs. Baptism
At the Downtown Vineyard Church, we believe that baptism is a personal decision that should be reached when an individual is old enough to understand what it means to "give their life to Christ". Therefore, we dedicate infants and young children, if the parents desire. If it a commitment made by the parents, rather than the child.
If you are interested in having your baby dedicated please email jackie@dtvchurch.org and read over exactly what you will be publically commiting. Read the Baby Dedication ceremony.
